Things to Do
History buffs and antique lovers are always delighted to attend the long-standing German Village Haus and Garten Tour, held annually. The tour allows visitors to walk through some of the most beautiful homes in German Village. The annual Village Lights festival takes place every year, kicking off the official holiday season in the community. Guests enjoy holiday music, vendors, carolers, story time for children, and of course, the ceremony for turning on the special holiday lights in the village.
The German Village Art Crawl is another fun event that residents look forward to every year. Guests of the festival enjoy viewing the display of multiple artists while also enjoying live music and appetizers.
Adjacent to German Village is
Schiller Park. The park is a wonderful place to go for a relaxing stroll. The park also contains a pond, historic statues and artwork, a stage for theater shows, and it has a playground and tennis courts as well.
