German Village

Welcome to German Village

An upscale, historic suburb nestled adjacent to Columbus

Just steps away from the urban area of downtown Columbus, German Village is a unique suburb, offering insight into a historical era of Columbus and the surrounding area, yet it also has been thoughtfully brought into modern times. German Village residents are aware of the vintage flavor of their community, and residents take special care to preserve the historical heritage they proudly inherited.

German Village is known internationally for its beautifully restored historic homes. Most of the homes in the area have handsome brick exteriors and at least two stories. More than a few also have spacious porches — ideal for neighborhood chats. It's difficult to decide which parts of the homes are the most beautiful, the lush landscaping surrounding the exteriors or the tastefully restored interiors. While some homes retain historic interior elements such as original woodwork and majestic staircases, they've also been skillfully restored to include all the modern amenities that families, young professionals, and retired couples come to expect from modern real estate.
